Goose
is currently my only bird.
Goose
is just over a year old (hatch date May 3, 2002).He is definitely the best bird I've ever known.
Clean,
quiet and affectionate. I sure hope he stays that way. We'll
see how it goes when he turns into a teenager.
My
fingers are crossed!

Goose is now three and a half years old. He is in excellent condition and still very well mannered.
He has learned to wolf whistle and say "Hi Baby!" and "I Love You". He absolutely loves music and the vacuum cleaner which both set him off into great long songs and bouts of "talking".
I think he thinks he is a cat now. HaHa ... he plays in the floor with the cats, preens them, enjoys cat food and "scratches" the cat trees with his feet.

Sadly, I've had to make the decision to allow Goose to move to a new home. Since my husband passed away last year, I have so much more on my plate than I ever expected to have. Goose is a fantastic, fantastic parrot. I hope to find a loving home for him where he will have everything he needs to maintain his beautiful personality.
I am in absolutely no rush to place him and will take the time to find just the right family for him. Whoever I allow him to go with will be incredibly fortunate. He truly has the most wonderful temperament I've ever even heard of a parrot having.
Goose loves to snuggle. He is not prone to bouts of screaming as some birds are. He is good with cats, dogs, kids and strangers. He has never bitten anyone. He is accustomed to being handled a lot and will only go to a family that can continue to give him that. He has to have lots of toys. He does not like to have a bath or be misted (he really hates that). He is able to escape from his cage unless it is secured REALLY well. Other than hating baths and being an escape artist, he has no bad habits whatsoever.
