Retired Stars of Kittiary

The cats pictured below are all significant in the history of Kittiary.
They are no longer part of the breeding program,
but I will forever be honored to have them continue on in the kittens of Kittiary.

"Snoop"  was my first foundation male.  He sired some lovely kittens and is now a totally spoiled pet; an incredibly loving, playful cat. I am very proud of him and feel fortunate to have had such a great guy with which to begin a breeding program. Thank you Linda Davinson of Zhao Cattery.

J.J. was here visiting the Kittiary girls during 2005.  He is from Catcharm Cattery in Louisiana.  JJ contributed exceptional traits to every kitten he sired, traits we hope to see in numerous future Kittiary kittens.  Many thanks to Warren & Kristine Joubert for entrusting me with this wonderful, wonderful boy.   Warren & Kristine, your many kindnesses during Kittiary's beginning will never be forgotten.

"Nova" was my first show girl; a wonderful cat - funny and affectionate.  She came from Viran Cattery - thank you Vicki Hathaway.  She is now living happily ever after with Tim Conley in Houston, Texas

"Promise" is an absolute doll.  I can't say enough about what a pleasure and honor it was to have her as one of my foundation females.   Promise's kittens were so hard to part with we still have a couple here and will for a long time.  MamaPromise is now a lady of leisure spending all her time as a much loved pet.

"Si-Si" is a tortie and was my token non-bicolor. Siesta has all the best qualities of both her parents with tortitude thrown in for fun. Her little girl, Kittiary Quite Contrary!, is staying here with me while Si-Si goes on to PerHaven Persians to become part of Kelly's wonderful breeding program. It was a difficult decision to let Si go but I am very pleased she will be part of such a nice program.

"Righty" was the first GC here at Kittiary (Granded by Susan Daniels of Byhishands Cattery). She was one of my very first girls. She has made fantastic contributions to Kittiary through her kittens and she is my dearest, sweet (although quite opinionated) bed buddy. She is always near me when not with her kittens. Retiring her from breeding was not an easy decision but I'm tired of sharing her with kittens and decided to allow her to spend all her time with me. She will remain with me as my pet and the matriarch of the Kittiary family forever.

Not only has she contributed to the Kittiary genepool, her direct offspring can be found at FABULS, Cacao, Jude and Cloverhill catteries.

"Shiny" came from Couronne Cattery thanks to Lynn Jacobs. Shiny brought to Kittiary the exquisite red color I hope to one day have a lot more of. I am very fond of Shiny; she's just a fabulous purr machine and bed warmer.  Retiring her was a real tough decision also. She absolutely loves to have kittens and is the happiest when snuggled up with a litter but she's getting up there in age. She retired to a wonderful pet home and one of her daughters is with her there so she can be "Mom-cat" forever.

"Gidget" is from one of the first Kittiary litters; a wonderful combination of two of my favorite cats, "Snoopy" and "Promise".  She has matured into a wonderful adult with purrsonality enough for four cats. Gidget has retired to a lovely pet home. Several of her offspring continue on in other programs and one precious little girls remains here at Kittiary.

"Sunny" is absolutely irresistible - the most mellow, content cat I have ever met. He holds a special place in my heart and in my cattery. He is sire to MANY Kittiary kittens, he was my first GC (a fun, easy one) and he introduced me to a lot of my best cat friends. Many thanks to Maurice Ruble of Budmar Persians for this beautiful boy.

Sunny is now making his home with my friend Chasity at Ceylon Cattery.

Sunny's name has a special meaning I would like to share with you. This little story was sent to me by my dear and dearly missed friend, Donna Norris on the day I fell in love with Sunny ...

"Tracy" has been a wonderful part of my breeding program. I hate for her to retire but these girls do get older and deserve to enjoy retirement. Not only has she been a wonderful Mom-cat, she is the sweetest, happiest girl in the history of cats!  Tracy came to me from Brannaway Cattery. She is now retired from breeding and living as a loved pet.

I will always be grateful to Anna for Tracy and for the warm welcome I received when I began showing in Region 3.

Chance came from Byhishands Cattery and I am very proud for him to have been part of the Kittiary breeding program for five years. He is a sweet, affectionate boy of excellent type. He sired lovely kittens including GC Kittiary Fair Play! and GC Kittiary La Belle! both of whom are still here at Kittiary. Chance now lives a wonderful pet life with Carole ... he is spoiled rotten!

"Spike" is an adorable black-white van boy. He is from a litter co-bred with Irene Allen of Comesee Cattery. His name is a tribute to what we can accomplish in the cat fancy when we treat each other with compassion and respect. Beautiful things are born from kindness and friendship!

Update: Spike has grown from "adorable" to "pretty darn amazing". He was a two show (7 ring) grand!. Go Spike!

Spike is now a California boy and we are thrilled with his new home. His sister and his babies continue his lines here at Kittiary.

A gift from and dedicated to the memory
of my Mother, Mary Frances Reid Peyton

"Georgia" has been a wonderful addition from Brannaway Cattery and one of the last Brannaway cats.  Accepting that Georgia had become too old for more kittens was one of the most difficult decisions I've made yet as a breeder. She was a fantastic Momcat and LOVED her babies. Georgia's kittens were also beautiful and I think Anna would be proud her. Georgia's beauty and fantastic purrsonality carries on through the generations in her offspring here at Kittiary and at several other catteries.

"Karma" has also been a joy to have here at Kittiary. She has produced beautiful babies (including Kittiary's "main man", Cuervo) that are currently contributing to the success of several breeding programs. I've enjoyed her and her kittens tremendously and it was a difficult decision to retire her. Thanks to Janet and Carissa Altschul of Cacao Cattery for allowing Karma to be a part of Kittiary.

Budmar's Gypsy Soul of Kittiary

PKD negative by DNA Test
Pedigree

"Gypsy" has the ability to wrap any heart around her finger in 30 seconds or less. Gypsy is a beautiful dominant calico van with an awesome pedigree. Words cannot express how grateful I am to Maurice Ruble of Budmar Persians for my sweet, lovely Gypsy.

Due to an eye injury sustained at a very young age, Gypsy will not be shown and will not be photographed for the website. I really wish you could see her but you'll just have to trust me that she is absolutely beautiful.

Gypsy had a serious problem with a pregnancy and had to be spayed. She now lives with Carol in California and has developed a penchant for Jazz music!

CH Kittiary Spitfire!, DM

Sire and Dam PKD negative by DNA Test
Pedigree

"Spitfire" is certainly a treasure. She is one of my very first kittens with a very interesting and unusual pedigree. Her Sire was loaned to me by Kristine and Warren Joubert when I first started Kittiary. She went to Catcharm Cattery with him when she was young and produced four GP offspring there (GP Catcharm Cream Delight, GP Catcharm Peaches'N Cream, GP Catcharm Toby Keith & GP Catcharm Randy Travis). Spitfire was returned to me when they decided to focus more on solid color Persians. Many warm thanks to Warren & Kristine for taking such good care of her and for returning her to me.

In spitfire's first litter here, she produced GC Kittiary's Lucky Shot!, her 5th qualifying offspring for the DM title. This makes her Kittiary's first home-bred DM cat! Interesting trivia: all five qualifying offspring were cream-white males and I DON'T do dilutes! Haha

Spitfire retired after receiving her DM title and now lives as a much-loved pet.
